SURFACE PREPARATION

Application surface to be dry or damp. Application must not be carried out during precipitation, and wet or icy surface conditions. Surface must be cleared from debris, paint, salt, dust, loose particles, and oil. Surface irregularities must be repaired using a proper repair mortar. All 90° corners should be rounded for proper application.

APPLICATION

Apply ready-mixed BT2K 750, diluted with 3:10 with water, or the bitumen emulsion BTR200, diluted 1:2 with water or liquid component of BT2K 750 diluted 1:5 - 1:10 with water, to the substrate. Application: Apply only on surfaces to be in contact with water. Add powder component slowly while mixing liquid component in its pail with a low rpm mixer (e.g., 400 – 600 rpm) until having a homogenous and non-flocculent mixture. As the primer completely dries out, the mixture is applied to surface with brush or trowel or suitable pulverizing equipment at 2-6 mm thickness. In case of double-layer application, the first layer should be allowed for curing and then the second layer should be applied. It is recommended to use with 50-100 gr/m2 fiberglass or net to improve mechanical properties in large areas and horizontal and vertical joints and to bridge the cracks. Mixture should be used within 1-2 hrs. depending on temperature. Application tools should be rinsed with water immediately after application. Tool cleaning with solvents may be employed for tools not cleaned on time. Protect surfaces for 24 hrs from precipitation, freezing and direct sunlight after application.

 WARNINGS

• Do not inhale cement based powder component.
• Gloves and goggles must be worn at all times.
• Rinse well with water in case of skin and eye contact.
• Immediately contact a physician for eye irritation.
• Empty pails must not be used for potable water and food storage.
