Bituproof Y Horizontal

BTM BituProof Y, first layer membrane used on the foundation bed of system (under the raft), is a superior quality membrane with reinforced elastomeric modified bitumen and high strength special polyester reinforcement side laps and end laps are torched.

ADVANTAGES

SURFACE PREPARATION

It is recommended to use formwork removal lubricants with Bituproof tanking system.

The surface of the rubble concrete poured in sufficient thickness and strength must be surfaced. There should be no loose aggregate and sharp protrusions on the surface. The floor should be cleaned by sweeping before application.

APPLICATION

After completing the rubble concrete poured on the foundation base with sufficient thickness and strength, the overlaps (joints) of Bituproof Y must be heated and adhered with a torch. Long side overlaps should be 10 cm, short side overlaps of 1 meter should be at least 15 cm. It should be applied by staggering 30 cm so that the long side overlaps do not come together.

PACKAGING

Bituproof Y is launched into the market in rolls 1 m wide and 8 m long.

STORAGE CONDITION AND SHELFLIFE

The membrane rolls should be stored vertically under a roof, protected from direct sunlight. If the rolls have to be stored outdoors for a long period of time, they must be covered with a protective layer in order to protect them from the sunlight.The membrane rolls or pallets should not be stacked on each other.

Shelf-life is one year from the production date in case it is stored in its sealed and undamaged package in dry ambient conditions at a temperature from +5°C to +25°C away from direct sunlight.
